About 400 visitors flocked to Dubbo for the conference, and Mr Graham said he thought they would have left with a “very good impression” of Dubbo.
“I think it’s a great advertisement for the facilities we’ve got here … and also the entertainment they witnessed Saturday night, all home-grown, all local talent,” Mr Graham said.
“We had a lot of people say it was the best entertainment they had ever witnessed at a district conference.”
That talent included local singers Billie Palin and Nathan Bryon, as well as the Might Big Band.
Mr Graham also commended the guest speakers, including Mark Horton, who spoke about community development and the importance of empowering people to improve their lot in life.
“It has generated a lot of discussion and that’s an indication the guest speakers were well-received,” Mr Graham said.
