The meeting, a non-TAB one, was abandoned after more than 100mls fell this week while there is more rain the forecast on Saturday.
The rain left the track extremely heavy and there was certain sections in straight which were unsafe for racing, according to stewards. A rescheduled date was yet to be given at the time of print.
Trangie’s track wasn’t the only one affected with meetings at Narrabri and Kembla Grange also called off due to the recent rain.
The attention of local trainers now turns to Orange, which hosts a seven-race meeting on Monday.
The Orange Cup Prelude (1600m) is the main event with Dubbo trainers Dar and Garry Lunn, Connie Grieg and Peter Nestor all saddling up chances.
