Now known as the Christie and Hood Castlereagh League, the competition’s Knockout on March 25 will provide sides a perfect chance to have a run before the season proper begins.
The hosts will play the first match, taking on the Coonabarabran Unicorns, while matches between Coonamble and Coolah and then Gilgandra and Dunedoo o follow.
The opening round matches will then be completed when the Trangie Magpies take on Gulgong.
Castlereagh League action is also on this weekend with Dunedoo hosting the annual league tag knockout as well as a number of Youth League matches.
All gate money taken on the day will be donated to the Sir Ivan Bushfire Appeal with the referees on the day also generously donating all their match fees to boost the appeal as well.
