DUBBO Cycle Club held its final round of the Dubbo City Toyota Track Racing Series for the 2016/2017 season at Victoria Park No.1 Oval on Tuesday evening.

A strong showing of riders across all grounds rounded out another successful season. This season Dubbo Cycle Club enjoyed a record numbers of riders, including a large number of new riders, take to the track.
Kurt Eather (8 and 12 lap scratch races and four lap handicap) scored four wins in A-grade, while Tim Hines won the two lap handicap as Jason Farr, Chris Couper, Mike Ticehurst and Hines all finished with placings.
Sam Fitzgerald (6 and 12 lap scratch races), Danny Barber (four lap handicap) and Justin Brooks (two lap handicap) were the B-grade winners.
Dylan Eather, Dave Gerrish, Brooks, Barber and Fitzgerald all recorded minor placings.
Zara Fuller (two and four lap handicap) and Mitch Hines (five and six lap scratch races) took out the four C-grade races over Lachie Clark, Haylee Fuller, Craig Granger and Heather Ticehurst, while Jason Canobie, Sarah Gordon and Haydon Carroll shared the D-grade victories.
Zac Fuller (both handicaps) and Isabelle Russell (both scratch races) were the big winners in junior division one over, while Emily Hines (three victories) and Jessica Fuller enjoyed wins in junior division two.
The junior development victories were shared by Hamish Murphy, Isabelle Marchant, Hugh Mitchell, Mason Shanks, Jarryd Fuller and Eva Marchant, with Ella Mann, George Mitchell and Will Marchant finishing in the placings.
The overall standings for the Percy Dawson Memorial Overall Points Standings went behind closed doors after the 7th February, with riders and officials awaiting the results, which will be announced at the club’s annual track presentation night.
A number of riders across several grades will be in contention for the club’s overall points standings after having excellent seasons on the track.
While Tuesday night’s racing was the final round of the Dubbo City Toyota Track Racing Series, the Dubbo Cycle Club will conduct a madison event next Tuesday night to close the 2016/2017 track season.
The madison will be run over 100 laps, where riders in teams of two interchange throughout the event and contest sprints for points.
