The veteran smashed his second century of the Megahit campaign to lead his side to the monstrous total of 2/220 from 20 overs.
While the Cougars, still searching for a first win since December 2012, were left with something close to mission impossible, they still gave it a shake and finished thier 20 overs at 7/184.
With more than 400 runs scored 40 overs, the spectators in attendance were on hand to witness one of the more exciting and entertaining matches seen in some time.
But the main attraction was Green, who hit cleared the rope on more than six occasions and also hit more than 10 fours, as he finished on 130 not out.
It followed on from the 101 he made in the very first match of the season.
He put on an incredible 181 for the first wicket with Ricky Medway inside 16 overs.
Medway made 64 and was also thoroughly impressive with his hitting.
In reply, Brock Larance (40) helped get CYMS off to a fast start but the required run rate was always well ahead.
Ben Strachan then entered the game and after a steady start he exploded late on, taking 30 from the maxi over and pummeling a number of sixes deep into the tennis courts.
He finished on 76 as the Cougars fell 36 runs short in a fighting display.
The win saw the Crackerjacks leapfrog Bluey’s Meats into the top three.
The side will now face the Castlereagh Hornets in this Friday night’s semi-final.
The winner meets the Amaroo Hotel Tigers in the decider on March 10.
