The champion mare is going for her 15th straight win in the Chipping Norton Stakes but earlier in the day, a promising gelding from Dubbo will line up in the $60,000 TAB Highway Handicap (1600m).
Clint Lundholm’s Dreadlock has won once and run second twice in three starts for Lundholm since making the move to Dubbo from the Tony McEvoy stables.
On Saturday, the four-year-old will jump from barrier seven in the Highway event with Dunedoo product Hugh Bowman, who will ride Winx later in the day, in the saddle.
The race is Dreadlock’s biggest test since linking with Lundholm, with the likes of Greg Bennett’s Mister Marmalade and Kurt Goldman’s Ruthless Agent among the main chances.
The TAB Highway Handicap is the second race on the card at Randwick and jumps at 1.25pm on Saturday.
