Dubbo residents took the opportunity to discuss their concerns with their local Police at the Lavish Cafe on Thursday. The second Coffee with a Cop Dubbo event also gave the community an opportunity to meet Orana officers Orana LAC Inspector Dan Skelly said the main objective of the morning was for the public to get to know the local police.

“And give them the opportunity to ask us questions, give suggestions on how we can do it better. If they’ve got a problem, we’re here to listen,” he said.
The first event was held in August of last year and Inspector Skelly said they received good positive feedback from the last event.
“We’re hoping to get another three events running this year, in Narromine, Wellington and Gilgandra,” he said.
Inspector Skelly said it was great to see the public engaging with the police.
“Sometimes people will only have contact with Police when under duress. So it great that people are taking the opportunity to get to know us under different circumstances,” he said.
