Riders involved with the Hogs For The Homeless ride were in attendance early in the tournament, which also involved members of the Clontarf Academy as officials.
Dubbo College was involved in the competition, as were schools from Forbes, Orange and other parts of the Western Rams zone.
In recent times womens league tag has boomed in the central west, with participation rates through the roof and interest growing at a rapid rate.
But there were no tags in sight during Wednesday’s matches, which were played under full-contact rules and were highly entertaining.
The girls didn’t hold back, running hard and tackling harder under the watchful eyes of NRL development officers and local legend Ronny ‘Rambo’ Gibbs, who hopped in the car after the tournament to conduct a training clinic in Walgett.
