But Rugby young gun Ben Wheeler dug in during the run chase and played the anchor role, making 80 as his side reached the target for the loss of six wickets and with ten overs remaining.

Clay Neale got Cobar off to a flying start early on, hitting two sixes and taking 16 off the second over of the game, but it wasn’t long before he and fellow opener Nathan Nevil were back in the sheds.

Harbison made a rapid start to his innings as well and dominated a 55-run partnership with Josh Brown, who only made 3 before being removed by Justin Knudsen.

Knudsen then quickly claimed two more wickets with his spin and then a runout had Cobar 6/108.

Pat Dillon (23) and James McClure (22 not out) chipped in late to help Cobar to 183, while Knudsen (3/27) and openers Jake Caudwell (3/36) and Ben Knaggs (2/27) were the best with the ball.

Dubbo lost three quick wickets before they were 20 in reply, with Lewis Matthews (4), Pat Berryman (6) and Thomas Nelson (0) all back in the sheds, but Wheeler and Nick Katydis steadied the ship.

Karydis made 15 and then Caudwell made 19 to make it 5/91 and the game was in the balance.

But Wheeler and Knaggs then combined in a match-winning partnership.

Wheeler, a young Rugby batsman who has come on in leaps and bounds this season, went well-past 50 and eventually fell for 80 from 107 balls.

He combined with Knaggs in a 71-run stand and then the CYMS man and Justin Knudsen saw the side through to victory.

Knaggs finished unbeaten on 39 while Pat Dillon starred with the ball for Cobar, taking 4/35 from 10.

Dubbo will now host Narromine or Nyngan, who will meet in the semi, at No. 1 Oval in the March 12 decider.
