About 7.30pm on Friday, police attempted to stop a Hyundai for a random breath test.
The driver allegedly failed to stop as directed.
The driver of the Hyundai was seen to turn down a dead-end road, and police will allege that when they approached the driver revved the vehicle and then drove at police.
Police used their baton to smash the windscreen of the vehicle, which then came to a stop.
The woman was arrested and blew a reading of .153, more than three times the blood-alcohol limit.
Subsequent checks on her licence also revealed she was disqualified from driving until 2022.
The 57-year-old woman was charged with high-range drink-driving, disqualified driving, drive manner dangerous and not obey direction of police.
She was refused bail and was to appear in Dubbo Local Court on Saturday.
