Dubbo Touch Association president Neil Webster said it was “fantastic” to have received the cheque and although the committee were still yet to decide where the money will go, Mr Webster said it would help the Association and its players greatly.
Mr Webster said the Assocation had only signed up to the program late last year and so he was very surprised that someone had nominated them.
“It was very unexpected,” Mr Webster said.
A Dubbo Touch spokesperson said they were pleased to be working with Newcastle Permanent and are thankful of their support for community organisations such as theirs.
Newcastle Permanent Dubbo assistant branch manager Sam Theobald said the branch was very proud to be able to give $600 to the Touch Association through the Introducer program and be able to support the community in this way.
