The Hornets have won just one of their three matches so far this season while the Crackerjacks also have much to play for.
Macquarie’s side sits in second place on the ladder and a win over the Hornets can go a long way to sealing a finals spot heading into the final round.
The Hornets impressed in the opening round of the season when easing past the Twenty20 strugglers, the Western Plains Automotive Cougars. But since then the side has slumped to losses against Bluey’s Meats and the Megahit-leading Amaroo Hotel Tigers.
The Crackerjacks also tasted defeat at the hands of the Tigers but its other two matches have been victories over Bluey’s Meats and the Bob Berry Blasters.
Batting has been a real strong point for the Crackerjacks with Jason Green making a powerful century in the opening round while Ricky Medway, Ben Taylor and Ed Haylock have all made half centuries so far this season.
There is plenty of variety of in the Hornets attack with the likes of Mitch Bower and Justin Knudsen backing up seamers Henry Railz, Scott Tucker and Jack Busch.
Bower is so often a key with the bat but there is other threats in the Hornets lineup in the shape of Adam Wells, Mat Finlay, Greg Rummans and Railz.
The action gets underway from 6.30pm at No. 1 Oval.
