Ms Berejiklian was elected unopposed at a Liberal party room meeting on Monday morning, after former Premier Mike Baird announced his resignation from Parliament last Thursday.
“Gladys is exceptionally qualified to lead NSW,” Mr Grant said in a statement.
“She has been a senior member of our Government, and has made an enormous contribution in a number of portfolios.
“Gladys is best placed to continue the transformative work that we have already seen this Nationals and Liberals Government undertake.”
Dominic Perrottet was elected as deputy Liberal party leader, also unanimously.
The pair were sworn in by Governor David Hurley at Government House on Monday afternoon.
“I want to give this commitment today to those 7.5 million people [in NSW], I will be governing for everyone, I will be delivering for everyone,” Ms Berejiklian said.
