A regular at the Dubbo track for a number of years, Geurie-based Foley will have Black Jack Taro, King Taro and Betty Sure Taro in Friday’s fifth event.
Despite providing the bulk of the seven-strong field, Foley still faces a challenge with the race being an extremely open one.
The likes of Paul Britt’s Super Boot and Karinya Connie, trained by John Portelli, are heading into the event in fine form.
Super Boot has won three straight, the most recent of those at Bathurst on January 9, while Karinya Connie has won his past three races at Dawson Park.
All of Foley’s chances head into the event in solid form, with each of them regularly finishing towards the front in recent times.
Both Betty Sue Taro and King Taro haven’t race yet this year but did score respective wins in December while Black Jack Taro scored victory at Dawson Park last week.
The win was the fourth of Black Jack Taro’s career and promisingly for Foley, came just two starts after win number three.
Friday’s meeting at Dawson Park consists of 11 races with the first at 12.03pm and the final event at 3.24pm.
