The New Year Open Day, which will commence at 5pm this Sunday 22 January, gives people the opportunity to come for a free hit of tennis, meet some of the club’s committee, members and players and hear about what tennis competitions and coaching the club offers.
The Open Day is designed to be very casual, people can come down any time after 5pm and enjoy a hit while also finding out more about the club.

Club coach Matt Edwards will be attending the Open Day, and along with having a number of games organised involving the ball machine and measuring service speeds, he will be able to answer all questions about coaching for juniors and adults of all ages.
Paramount Tennis Club president Paul Handsaker is hopeful of getting a strong turnout on Sunday and along with seeing a lot of faces he recognises, he hopes there will be some new players come down for a hit.
“The beauty of our club is it caters for everyone, so it doesn’t matter whether you want to play in the A grade competition and really push yourself to improve, or if you want to come down for a social hit in one of our other competitions, we have something for players of all ability,” he said.
“We will be commencing our Summer competitions from early February so this weekend coming is close to the last chance people have to register for those competitions.
“The Open Day is designed to be very casual, people can come down any time after 5pm and enjoy a hit while also finding out more about the club and hopefully become members and enjoy playing week-in week-out.”
In a busy weekend for the club, current members and players will fill all volunteer roles at Dubbo parkrun on Saturday 21 January.
