It could have been an even bigger win had the Central Northern tail not wagged after being 8-95.
Western captain and Dubbo batsman Thomas Nelson top-scored for Western with 43, while Corey McDean (38) and Brock Larance (37) also contributed to the total of 221.
Western’s new-look opening bowling pair of Nic Hall and Dubbo’s Tom Atlee then did the damage early with the new ball, reducing the opposition to 3-4 early on.
Hall went on to be the standout bowler, finishing with 4/24 from 8.1 overs.
Tanvir Singh (2/6) and Larance (2/29) also did their part in the win.
The Western Zone side will play off four third and fourth on Thursday’s final day of the under-16 tournament while Riverina meet Newcastle in the main final.
