Twelve semi-trailers, 50 crew members and 25 athletes are about to roll in Dubbo, but while it may sound like an ideal, after more than 250 shows, Nitro Circus has their plan down pat.

Nitro Circus will perform in Dubbo on March 11. It’s the first stop of their 2017 Regional Rampage Tour, and their 255th show overall.
Australian and New Zealand marketing manager Nathan Brown said the Nitro crew had become a well-oiled machine.
“We live out of our suitcases 140 days of the year on tour so we know each other really, really, sometimes too, well,” Mr Brown said.
Put simply, the crew and athletes are used to travelling, and Mr Brown said it was not uncommon for them to wake up not knowing what day it was.
“On this tour we only do one show a week. On our European tour we did 17 shows in 29 days across 12 countries. We would do a show, get on an overnight sleeper bus, wake up in another country and do another show,” he said.
While they used to travel with an even larger entourage, Mr Brown said it wasn’t financially feasible. Instead, when they arrive in Dubbo about 50 locals will be employed to help.
“The setup takes about 14 hours. We will start late Thursday, continue all day Friday and finish by lunchtime Saturday. It comes down in about four and a half hours and then the trucks drive to Griffith by Sunday afternoon,” Mr Brown said.
The Dubbo show will be the second biggest, Mr Brown said, behind the Central Coast.
“We’ve got no doubt that we’re going to sell 10,000 tickets when we’re at about 5,000 two months before the show,” he said.
