The lightly-raced dog has won two of his four career starts and cruised to victory in last week’s heats, setting the fastest qualifying time in the process.
Rudra will jump from box three in the final while Jannette Steel’s Wishbone Cargo, another leading contender, will be next door in box two.
Wishbone Cargo also impressed in the heats and, much like Rudra, has won two from four so far in his career.
Oak’s Image and Gunnadoo Amigo appear other strong chances.
Friday’s meeting will be a morning one, something rare at Dawson Park but understandable with temperatures expected to soar in the afternoon. The final is the eighth race on the card and will jump at 12.18pm.
