For the second straight year Roberts was crowned Dubbo Greyhound Racing Club’s Trainer of the Year for 2016.
The leading local trainer has made a habit of winning at Dawson Park for a number of years now and she will be hoping for more success this year.
The first meeting of the year is on Friday and Rodney Keeping, one of the trainers most consistent performers at Dawson Park, will jump from jump from box one in the Davey 2016 Greyhound of the Year Stakes (400m).
That race will be followed by the Charmaine Roberts Trainer of the Year Stakes (318m).
Rodney Keeping has been a little off his best in recent times, running fourth and seventh in his past two starts, but has shown many times he’s difficult to beat on his home track.
Racing at Dawson Park begins at 12.02pm.
