The Waratahs will roll through Bathurst and then Orange on January 30 before heading into camp at Lake Burrendong, prior to their Super Rugby trial game against the ACT Brumbies at Mudgee’s Glen Willow Sporting Complex.
The Orange trial will kick off at 4pm.
“The Waratahs will be conducting a number of events throughout the week, one is skills clinic in Orange,” Simpson said.
’The whole squad will split into two so there will be about 15 players as well as NSW Rugby development staff conducting drills and skills for kids to learn’.
‘’This is a fantastic opportunity for kids to come along and learn off the some of the Waratahs players.
“The Waratahs have a lot of players who originate from the central west and western plans such as Dubbo’s Tom Robertson, Mudgee’s Matt Sandell, Coonamble’s Ned Hanigan and Yeoval’s Brad Wilkin and they are all looking forward to returning to the region and giving back to the junior region’.
‘’The clinic will focus on the basic skills for kids such as tackle, catch pass and there will be a photo and autograph session at the end of the clinic’’.
