Ashley Woodbridge, 28, was caught behind the wheel of a car in August and again in September, despite being ordered off the road by Dubbo Local Court earlier this year.
She was already serving a number of suspended sentences and good behaviour bonds for driving while suspended, common assault and contravening an apprehended violence order.
Magistrate Philip Stewart noted a report before the court showed Woodbridge had made limited efforts to comply with the supervision requirements of her bonds.
He revoked the bonds and sentenced the woman to an aggregate sentence of 10 months in jail, with a four-month non-parole period for the seven offences.
When Woodbridge was caught driving during a disqualification period on August 22 she told police she had been desperately looking for a residence to rent, court documents show.
Then on September 9 police caught her behind the wheel again.
Woodbridge pleaded guilty to both offences on October 19.
In court on Wednesday a solicitor for Woodbridge said she was instructed no one in her client’s household had a licence.
A report to the court showed “mixed” compliance, with Woodbridge making contact with Community Corrections, but “attending somewhat randomly”, the solicitor said.
The solicitor said her client instructed she had been homeless, living out of her car, and was driving to accommodation she had secured at the time of one of the offences.
In sentencing a tearful Woodbridge, Mr Stewart said not only had she breached the bonds by further offending, but also by continual disobedience of court orders where she had failed to report as required.
A finding of special circumstances of first time in custody and need for drug rehabilitation was made to vary the non-parole period.
Woodbridge wept as she learned her fate.
“I’m going to jail,” she said as she was led into custody.
