Leading teenage cyclists Kurt and Dylan Eather both remain second overall in their respective age divisions after another strong showing at the third round of the National Junior Track Series at the Anna Meares Velodrome in Brisbane.

The pair, Kurt in the 17s and Dylan in the 15s, produced strong showings in the weekend’s third round of racing.
In local cycling news, this week’s Tuesday night action was washed out Mitchell shot to the top of the Dubbo Cycle Club Wheelrace series standings after taking out the third round – the TEAM Irrigation Wheelrace - during last week’s Dubbo City Toyota Track Racing Series.
Equal scratch marker Mitchell took out the four-lap race over Jason Farr, Kurt Eather, Mike Ticehurst and Darrell Wheeler, while Zara Fuller was the winner of the Active Solar and Gas Women’s Wheelrace ahead of Lauren Fuller, Sarah Gordon, Michelle Fuller and Catherine Fuller.
Jess Fuller was again the winner of the Robinson & Fuller Homes Junior Wheelrace, leaving Trent Hines, Isabelle Russell, Zac Fuller and Tyler Barnes to sort out the minor placings.
Hamish Murphy, Hugh Mitchell, Mason Shanks and Isabelle Marchant shared the victories in the junior development races while Emily Hines, Jess Fuller and Tom Williamson won the three junior division two races.
The junior division one races were of an exceptional standard, with Angus Campbell and Haydon Carroll (twice) winning the three races.
Lachie Clark was brilliant in winning all three D-grade races in style, leaving in his wake Jason Canobie and Sarah Gordon, who filled the podium placings in all three events.
Heather Ticehurst (both scratch races) and Catherine Fuller (two lap handicap) were impressive in winning the C-grade events.
Dylan Eather (eight lap scratch race) and Sam Fitzgerald (six lap scratch race and two lap handicap) battled out the B-grade victories.
Tim Hines, Adam Mitchell and Kurt Eather split the high tempo A-grade races over Jason Farr, Mike Ticheurst and Luke Ensor as Mitchell and Eather also finished in the placings.
In other Dubbo Cycle Club news, Chris Couper was the winner of the third round of the Summer Road Racing Series at the start of the month, taking out the 38km handicap at the Morgriguy Road course while Julia Graham finished first in the female division of the race.
