Johnson spends a mountain of his own time at the club and the Clubperson trophy is a well-deserved reward for all of his tireless efforts.
The award signifies the fact that clubs like the Dubbo Pistol one would struggle without people like Johnson, with the comment being made that JOhnson’s father Ray would be very proud of the honour his son has received.
In action on the ranges earlier this month, the weekend of November 26 got off to a steady start on the Saturday with the rifle club’s 50 Metre Rifle match.

Sunday was the pistol club’s Christmas Novelty match and the day was a huge success with a full house on Range C.
The scoring system involved a complicated mix of off-pistol scores, handicaps, ands what felt like a multitude of other things.

Other results were Jon Bohan 585, Laurence Campbell-Rogers 584, Bob O’Keefe 576, Tony McNaught 571, Nev Scholz 570, Clinton Towers 569, Rebekah Watson 565, Theo Scholz 553, Richard Wheatley 526, Joan Boyle 525, John Jones 501, Dave Coleman 495, Warren Johnson 490, Pete Caligeros 468, Mal Bootle 467, Jim Strachan 453 and John Cohen 367.
