There were more than 200 registered bidders for the whitegoods, televisions, electronics, toys, hunting and camping gear, tools and assorted furniture on offer.

The turnout amazed Burns Auctions director Scott Burns, who said the turnout was on par with the company’s regular auctions in Bathurst and Orange.

The company had received more than 5000 unique browsers on its website in the lead-up to Sunday’s auction.

Mr Burns said with a response like that, they are sure to be back.

“We really like being in Dubbo,” he said.

“It’s a lot of work, trucking everything up, but we look forward to coming back.”

Burns Auctions’ next sell-off in Dubbo will include hunting and four-wheel-drive gear and kayaks as well as the usual collection of whitegoods, electronics, and furniture.
