The busy year began with a major re-snagging project in collaboration with IWRA and the Department of Primary Industries in February.
The group dragged 17 bags of recycling and rubbish, and five trolleys, from the river on Clean Up Australia Day.
The wet winter months forced the group to cancel most of its mid-year working bees, but boosted weed growth.
At the group’s most recent working bee, boys from the Delroy Campus Clontarf Academy made short work of some annual weeds and castor oil plants.
Sunday’s event starts with a barbecue at Lions Park, West Dubbo at 8am. Call Mellissa Gray on 0431 471 310 to confirm attendance.
