Telstra area general manager Mike Marom said the company wished to inform customers prior to the work on towers in South Dubbo and on Douglas Mawson Road.
“As this work needs to be carried out during daylight hours for health and safety reasons our technicians will need to switch off some sectors which support mobile services in the area. This will result in a disruption to mobile services at different times between December 5-15,” Mr Marom said.
In the 10 days there will be six outages lasting for four hours, which will impact all services, and another series of four-hour outages which will impact certain sectors of the towers, Telstra said.
As the work is weather dependant, the days and the times are unknown.

“We understand this is an inconvenience and we thank residents for their patience, as the maintenance will provide longer term improvements to services in the area for our customers.” he said.
All customers with 3G services and mobile EFTPOS facilities will be impacted.
Meanwhile, the telco has worked to resolve a disruption to NBN customers over the weekend.
Late on Monday it was revealed all affected customers had their issues fixed.
“We apologise for the interruptions to some NBN services in the area, which resulted in some customers experiencing slow speeds and the inability to connect to some sites,” Mr Marom said
“The issue has been resolved but we ask that if any customers are experiencing ongoing issues they report a fault on 132 203 and we can investigate their individual services.”
