Transforce was awarded Excellence in Business at the NSW Business Chamber State Awards Saturday night in Sydney.
The Excellence in Business Award recognises an organisation with more than 20 employees which has achieved significant growth.
Western NSW Business Chamber regional manager Vicki Seccombe said Transforce was among a diverse array of talent from the NSW business community showcased at the awards.
“Transforce should be incredibly proud of their achievement, as they were competing against 16 other very successful businesses from right across NSW,” Ms Seccombe said.
“Not only was Transforce able to demonstrate the specific strategies and processes implemented to achieve profitable and sustainable growth, but they are very focused on creating a strong workplace culture and have a large emphasis on environmental sustainability being Australia’s first certified carbon neutral transport company.”
Transforce was established in July 1999 and it was three years ago that they became the first heavy vehicle industry to be certified carbon neutral.
The company’s managing director Steve Fieldus said the award proved he had awesome staff.
Ms Seccombe said she was delighted to see a number of wins from the region at the state awards, which highlighted the strength of the business community within NSW.
Justine Richards from Regand Park Early Childhood Education Centre was a finalist in the Business Leader section, and Dubbo Regional Council’s communications coordinator Kate Wright was a finalist in the Young Business Executive category.
Transforce was named the winner of the 2016 Gold Rhino earlier in the year.
The company was also selected as the winner for Excellence in Business Ethics, Excellence in Environmental Sustainability and Excellence in Business 20+. Mr Fieldus was also chosen as Business Leader of the Year.
