On paper, Saturday’s RSL-Whitney Cup clash between RSL-Colts and CYMS is a match between the competition leaders and the side at the foot of the ladder.
But a closer look at the two teams’ seasons tells a very different story.
Due to a change in the points system this season, the Cougars sit last despite winning two more matches than the second-placed South Dubbo.
In fact, CYMS has lost just one match less than Colts but the side finds itself five positions lower on the ladder.
The Cougars head into Saturday’s match on the back of three straight victories while Colts is yet to taste defeat this summer.
In the round’s other match, Rugby and South Dubbo meet at No. 1 Oval.
While the Hornets sit second, they have won just once this season, and that was a mammoth win over Rugby back in round one.
Rugby returned to form last week and scored a dominant win over Macquarie.
All matches start at 1pm.
