John Bernasconi is the captain while vice presidents are Clem Long and Barry Harvey. Terry Sloggett has been named treasurer, Greg Shortis secretary while Steve Chippendale, Alan Kelly, Ross Tighe, Carl Young and Ken Hinton are on the committee.
Stuart Webster enjoyed a moment to remember when he hit a hole in one on the 26th hole on October 28.
In terms of coming events, there will be a nine-hole Canadian Foursome on Friday, November 25. There will be a barbecue and presentation following the event.
The Veteran Golfers’ monthly presentation for November will be held on Friday, December 9. The event will be a nine-hole individual stableford.
That is also the final round for Gold Shirt qualifiers.
The Gold Shirt playoff is for players who have won a monthly Horizon’s shirt during 2016. The playoff will begin on Tuesday, December 6 with the first round while the second round is on Friday, December 9.
The winner will be the player with the best stableford score over two rounds.
Gold Shirt Qualifiers for 2016 are: Carl Young Clem Long, Brian Kelly, Jim Oriel, Bob Forrest, Terry Sloggett, Rex Currie, Jock McGhee, John Wilson, Barry Cooper, and the November is yet to be contested.
The Men of League Day Charity day will be held on Friday, December 2 with a start time of 11am.
The Dubbo Veteran Golfers Christmas Lunch will be held on Friday, December 16 commencing at 12pm. There will be a 4BBB Medley Stableford prior with a shotgun start at 8.30am.
The winners of the four major yearly events will be announced on at the lunch.
