Following on from the very successful awards night, the Dubbo Chamber of Commerce presented a cheque for $500 to the Dubbo Hospital Childrens’ Ward.
A fundraising raffle was conducted on the night, with the winner being able to nominate the charity of their choice for the proceeds.
The winner was James Johnson, from Westpac Business Banking, who requested that the money go to the childrens ward.
Dubbo Chamber of Commerce president Matt Wright, along with members of the committee, presented the cheque to staff from the childrens ward, and said he he is delighted that the donation will assist sick children in the area.
“The Dubbo Hospital Childrens Ward services such a wide area of Western NSW and we are very happy to be able to support them,” Mr Wright said.

“Our thanks go to James Johnson for nominating our ward as the beneficiary and to Dubbo Chamber of Commerce for arranging this generous donation,” Ms Dent said.
“The money will be used to purchase some new equipment required in the ward.”
