There is much conjecture about the make-up of the Aussie squad, with the first test against South Africa fast approaching.
The third fast bowling spot is one of the major talking points, with Siddle and Jackson Bird seemingly locked in a battle to join Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood in the national side.
But having seen what Siddle can do during the Bushrangers’ clash with Tasmania, Tremain has no doubt he would do the baggy green proud again.
"He's a great team man and a great person to bowl with at the other end because you know he's going to do his job day-in, day-out and create an anchor for our bowling innings," he said.
"If they (selectors) go with Sidds, I'm sure they'll go with the bloke that's done the job for them time and time again but you saw how well Jackson Bird bowled as well in this game. They could go either way. I'm sure whoever they go with will do a great job."
