Trained at the track by Paul and Pamela Braddon, Falcon’s Fury has made a stellar start to his career and has all the hallmarks of being the duo’s next big thing.
Launching from box eight, Falcon’s Fury stopped the clock at a time of 25.88s.
Dana Big Karl, trained by Cowra’s Rodney McDonald, ran second while Pamela Braddon’s Spring Jazz filled the minor placings.
The Janet Braddon Memorial win was his fourth from five starts and followed on from a blitzing perforance in the heats of the Lesley Ann Leonard Memorial (400m) at Dawson Park last Thursday.
This Thursday he returns to Dubbo for the final, after qualifying second fastest.
He shapes as one of the leading contenders in the $4000-to-the-winner event, after qualifying second fastest in a slick time of 22.52s.
Only the Dennis Barnes trained Nangar Rock, who produced a stunning performance in heat three and won by more than 16 lengths, set a faster qualifying time with 22.50s, and appears to be the Braddons’ main rival while Dana Scar and Mr. Blake Us also impressed in the heats.
The fields for Thursday will be released on Tuesday.
