Prest made it five wins from five bouts during a bumper night of action at the Victoria border town, her win made even more impressive when she was named best fighter at the completion of the 14-bout card.
Prest, who defeated Nicole Fogarty on points on Saturday, trains under Robert ‘Gummy’ Toomey at his Pound For Pound gym and Toomey’s offsider Graham Wallace said Prest just continues to impress.
“She’s done pretty well,” he said.
“She’s improving in leaps and bounds under ‘Gummy’.”
While it was Prest who won best fighter of the night at Yarrawonga, Hill Jnr also produced another eye-catching performance.
The youngster has been with Toomey for some time now and Wallace said he can go as far as he wants to in the world of boxing.
“He’s going to be something as long as he keeps going,” he said.
“If he keeps going he’ll go really, really well and he’s quick with long arms. I think he’s going to be a tall and thin fella so that will be a good advantage and he’s just a good kid, he trains well.”
Ray Fuller didn’t get the chance to rebound from his first loss last time out as he had to settle for an exhibition bout while Hayden Woods rounded out the Dubbo contingent and he was beaten in a split points decision.
The fighters will now return to the gym with the focus on next month’s ABL National Titles at Cairns.
