It is not very often words like ‘heavy’ and ‘weight’ are used when discussing a butterfly but that is definitely the case when it comes to the races at Mudgee on Saturday.

There will be five races in the non-TAB meeting and Dubbo trainer Connie Greig will take her mare Butterfly Sky to the track.
The biggest issue for Greig is the fact the eight-year-old will carry 60kg, which is the top weight in the Mudgee Mug Benchmark 50 Handicap (1600m).
Wayne Collison’s Some Nights is the next heaviest with 58.5kg on his back but Greig will have the services of leading Dubbo jockey Kody Nestor on Butterfly Sky.
Butterfly Sky has gone 14 starts without a win, having not tasted success since racing at Bathurst in August of last year but in more recent times she has placed at the likes of Narromine and Dubbo.
Some Nights shapes as the one to beat having been victorious two starts back at Gilgandra last month.
Racing starts at 2.30pm.
