Before his October 9 win at Dubbo Paceway, Persona had gone 13 races without finishing any better than eighth.
But the trip to Dubbo worked wonders, as Nathan Carroll guided the eight-year-old to a stunning win at the huge odds of $64.80.
Carroll will again be in the gig on Sunday, when Persona lines up from gate two in the Col Honeysett Plumbing Pace (1720m).
Nathan Turnbull will also fancy his chances of a win in the event, despite His A Tease getting an awkward draw.
His A Tease will start from gate six, but has form on the board having finished in the first four past the post in his past ten starts.
The Col Honeysett Plumbing Pace is the sixth and final race card on Sunday, setting off at 5.04pm.
