The new principal of Gilgandra High School, Neal Reed, has described his appointment as an “honour” and a “privilege.”

Mr Reed has been teaching at the school since 2002, and is very locally focussed.
“Gilgandra has been very good to me,” he said. “I came here very green out of Sydney, straight from university.
“I became involved in the community including the fire brigade, rugby union, touch footy, and Gilgandra Alive.”
