To be successful, applicants must meet criteria based on merit and benefits to the community and be based in the Dubbo Regional Council local government area or deliver a service or activity in the region.
Council’s community services manager business support Jamie Angus said previous recipients included charitable, health, animal wellbeing, and environmental organisations as well as special interest groups.
“Council dedicates $30,000 to the Community Financial Assistance Program each year to help ease the burden of not-for-profit organisations that contribute to our community,” Mr Angus said.
“This is the first round of funding Council has to offer for the 2016-2017 financial year.”
Applications close 5pm, Friday 25 November 2016. Forms are available at council’s website. Successful applicants will be determined by council on December 19.
