An incredible makeover has been given to Spears Drive Park, following calls from the community.

Dubbo Regional Council manager horticultural services Ben Pilon said in recent years there had been more young families moving to Rosewood Estate, and they had been contacting council for an upgrade to the park.

“Before there was just one set of swings, we thought we’d give the community back a bigger and better playground,” Mr Pilon said.

About $50,000 has been spent to create the new playground, after the design was chosen by the residents.

And more could be coming, Mr Pilon said.

“Possibly in the future there’ll be bubblers and a shade sail, depending on funding,” he said.

The upgrade has already been well received by the surrounding residents.
