They took part in a Dubbo Regional Council sister-city exchange in travelling to Wujiang, China.
The small group included St Johns College student Claudia Morrison.
Earlier this year, Macquarie Anglican Grammar School hosted students from Wujiang.
The hospitality was reciprocated when the Dubbo delegation landed in China.
During their trip the Dubbo students dabbled in Chinese culture, travelled to Shanghai and Beijing, visited palaces and temples, and climbed the Great Wall of China.
Deputy headmaster John Day thanked the council for a “fantastic experience”.
