The family-owned company has received $10,000 to help expand its markets and workforce.
NSW Deputy Premier and Member for Dubbo Troy Grant said the cash would help the fledgling company take its next big step in a competitive market.
“Little Big Dairy Company is a great example of the strength of primary production in the Central West, providing a unique product with core values that clearly resonate with a growing customer base,” he said.
“This family-owned company prides itself on being a single-source, one-farm milk producer; a unique quality that has doubled sales the past two years, having only been operating for three.”
Mr Grant said the $10,000 would help Little Big Dairy Company establish distribution networks in the lucrative Canberra market and across the state.
“The projected sales from this investment will require an extra five full-time staff,” he said.
“The NSW government’s Department of Industry is delighted to support Little Big Dairy Company, and we are providing ongoing assistance through international engagement following a number of export inquiries.”
NSW Minister for Regional Development, Skills and Small Business, John Barilaro, said the government was providing a range of incentives and support for new and expanding businesses to create jobs in NSW.
“Little Big Dairy Company is a fantastic example of the kind of outcomes we want for businesses everywhere in regional NSW,” he said.
“We want to help these businesses achieve economic growth through innovation that boosts productivity and increases their potential to reach new markets and create new jobs.”
Mr Barilaro said in the past year more jobs had been generated in regional NSW “than any other regional area in Australia”.
“Government initiatives like this are helping small businesses throughout the $138 billion regional NSW economy do what they do best,” he said.
