Council’s manager of recreation and programs, Tracey Whillock says the awards are in its 14th year and will also recognise, for the first time, the outstanding achievements of Wellington’s most talented sports people as well as those from Dubbo.
“These awards also give us a chance to celebrate the important people behind the scenes,” Willock said.

Dubbo and Wellington sporting clubs, individuals and the broader communities are encouraged to submit nominations for three categories – individual or team achievement, at a national or state level, NSW country/state/national competition success, individual contribution to sport by an individual and community contribution to sport by an organisation.
Nomination forms are available at Western Plains Regional Council.
Completed forms can be returned to council by September 30.
