After helping Western Division’s under-16s to the country championship final this year, the St John’s Dubbo product is again in Jamie Szczerbanik’s line-up to take on the Federation of Italia Rugby League Australia at Carrington Park.
Szczerbanik said his side’s country championship loss will motivate the Rams against Italy, with Burton joined by St John’s Paddy Haycock and South Dubbo’s Blaine Gordon in the squad.
“We have a great bunch of boys in the squad,” Szczerbanik said.
It’s all about a once in a lifetime opportunity to play a national team.

“They deserve their positions because they where instrumental in the Country Championships.
“We don’t know too much about them [Italy], but they would’ve played rep before, so we can expected them to be a classy outfit.
“It’s all about a once in a lifetime opportunity to play a national team, so we want to go out there, play good footy and enjoy each others company.”
The late-season representative fixture will kick-off on Saturday, October 15, with the main game Western Division opens against Italy kicking off at 6pm.
