The committee from the Dubbo National Diggers Bowls Carnival needed special permission to use three Defence Force emblems and HMAS letters on their Long Tan Battle commemoration bowls t-shirts.
Mr Coulton and his team followed up their application with the correct authorities and the Dubbo bowlers said without his help, the t-shirts wouldn’t of been possible.
On Friday the Dubbo bowlers presented Mr Coulton with his very own commemoration t-shirt.
The shirts have become very popular with the local bowlers, including current and ex-service personnel.
The shirts even made a trip to Vietnam for the Commemoration of the Battle of Long Tan.
“It’s a massive thing,” committee member Ian Moses said of gaining the appropriate emblems and letters on the shirts.
“Everyone is really happy with the shirts and we’ve had good response from other people as well.”
Mr Moses said Mr Coulton was immediately happy to help them in their application for their special shirts.
