Seven diehards took part in a Centrefire/Sports Pistol match under Range Officer Judy Smith on Sunday.
Warren Johnson had a spell from Range Officer duties and took first with a handicap crushing 602 (533, 63). It was another display of excellent shooting from a potential NSW Black Powder representative.
Richard Wheatley was second with 573 (448, 125) and new member Chris Murray-Wilcox third with a very commendable 553 (302, 251). Other results were Geoff Luck, just out of the placings with 552 (402, 150), Garry Deagan 545 (435, 110), Jon Bohan 451 (343, 108) and Zac Bohan 441 (341, 100).
This coming weekend will see 50 Metre Bench Rest Rifle on Saturday and Centrefire/Sports or Black Powder on Sunday. Black Powder might be a non-event if it is wet.
The new committee met for the first time last Sunday under new president Bob Dowling.
There is little to report other than the club welcoming new members Brody Roache, Heather Aguirre, Chris Murray-Wilcox, Barry Hill and David Hill.
Members are reminded that membership fees are now due, with Terry Greer the one to collect the money.
