UPDATE: All lanes of the Mid Western Highway have reopened at Kings Plains west of Bathurst after an earlier car accident.

The highway was closed in both directions, with motorists being diverted via Millthorpe and Blayney.

The accident site has been cleared, and all diversions have been lifted.

There are no delays for motorists through the area.

The Mid Western Highway is closed in both directions at Evans Plains around 10 kilometres west of Bathurst due to car accident.

Emergency services crews are on site, working to free a person trapped in a vehicle.

Motorists are being diverted onto the Mitchell Highway at Bathurst, then Millthorpe Road to Blayney to return to the Mid Western Highway.

This diversion is suitable for all vehicles.

Motorists are advised to allow additional travel time.
