During the past week police have received a number of reports of thefts and property offences at homes in the Bourke area.
Inspector Michael Lauricella from Bourke Police Station on Saturday appealed for information from the public.
“We continue to investigate these matters and we are dedicated to working with the community to help prevent these crimes,” Inspector Lauricella said.
“It is only a matter of time until we catch up with those responsible.”
A 16-year-old boy was arrested on Friday, following investigations into a theft that occurred in Hope Street, Bourke, on Thursday.
He was taken to Bourke Police Station where he was charged with drive conveyance without consent of owner.
The teen was granted conditional bail to appear at a children’s court on October 17.
Investigations also led to the arrest of a 30-year-old man, who was charged for an unrelated matter.
Inquiries continue.
