Andrew Logan wasn’t one of those people.
“He strokes through them just so beautifully. It’s like a nine iron for him and he never misses. Under pressure I trust him all the way,” Logan said.
Logan has been part of the Emus fabric now for a half decade, mentoring the greens through the tough times in 2013 and then through the club’s ascension to Blowes Clothing Cup powerhouse.
The master mentor said his side’s 14-11 win over Forbes was as grueling a game as he’s seen.
“It was so physical it was hard to know if to use the replacements or to leave the guys out there that were in the groove,” he added.
“We worked through some hard times … we kept ourselves in the game and that’s the experience of big games over the last couple of years.”
