The stars, who are aged between three and 21, had their first dress rehearsal on Sunday for the show which opens on September 15.
The Drama Club is supported by Dubbo Theatre Company and vice-president Jo Gibb, who directs the show, said the production would be great fun for audiences of all ages.
“It’s a great show, it only goes for an hour so it’s suitable for all,” Mrs Gibb said.
Beauty and the Beast is the drama club’s second production since its formation earlier this year – they debuted in June with a concert medley of musical numbers.
After months of rehearsals, the 60-strong cast was raring to go on their second show, Mrs Gibb said.
“I’ve found that because of the quality of the talent they want to be the best they can be and they’re developing so quickly,” she said.
“It has given them a real theatre experience and even if they’re only doing it for fun it’s something that sticks with you.”
Beauty and the Beast opens on Thursday, September 15 with 7pm shows on Thursday, Friday and Saturday followed by a 3pm showing on Sunday, September 18.
The show stars Sasha Wykes as Belle, Lachlan Skinner as the Beast, Jackson Gibb as Gaston, Caleb Haddon and Cogsworth and Jess Woods as Chip.
