In a world first, an artist has hand painted two, six metre by three metre Australian flags, fluttering in the breeze on the sides of a John Deere S680 combine.

The artwork will allow Chesterfield Australia, the nation’s leading supplier of agricultural machinery and equipment to literally fly the flag for Australian farmers this season.
Chesterfield Australia general manager – retail Damien Effeney said the decision to transform the green cleanskin combine into a patriotic machine has been five decades in the making.
“Chesterfield Australia has been supporting Australian farmers and their families since 1963,” Mr Effeney said.
“We’re extremely proud of our Australian heritage and our relationship with the men and women who make this country great.
“The success of our business lies in the success of our customers and we are honoured to support them and their contribution to the country. This Australian flag combine is symbolic of that support.”
The Australian flag combine will be housed in Dalby and used extensively for demonstrations throughout the area.
Mr Effeney said the painting of the combine, which took the artist more than 10 days to complete was also captured on video.
“It’s amazing to watch the flag emerge and the creation of the Southern Cross,” Mr Effeney said.
“We’ll share a series of videos showing the transformation of the John Deere S680 on Facebook and Instagram. Including a time-lapse video which shows the evolution of the Australian flag.”
