The city’s first Rotary club is celebrating its 80th birthday this month with a “1930s extravaganza” set down for September 10.
Club president Sandy Birkett-Williams has invited members of the public to the event and encouraged them to dress up to the theme of Back to the 1930s.
“Go raid your wardrobe and see what you can find,” she said.
The doors of Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre will be open to the birthday party crowd at 7pm.
They will enjoy a two-course meal before dancing until 11.30 pm to the Mighty Big Band.
Mrs Birkett-Williams said the club retained its commitment to community through good deeds and donations.
Last month it forked out $47,855.50 for an ultrasound machine for Dubbo Hospital’s emergency department.
Tickets to the party cost $70 and can be purchased at www.trybooking.com/224814.
